Dear Readers!

Here at Audi, we are hard at work developing the mobility of the future. In recent years, our portfolio of brands and Audi itself have achieved excellent results, which have laid the foundations for us to change and transform as we move into a new era, one that Audi Hungaria will play a central role in. The electric powertrains for the Q8 e-tron will be manufactured in Győr, and the drives for the Audi Q6 e-tron will also be sent from there, as the first units to power cars built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform.

The fact that our Győr site has been carbon neutral since 2020 is proof positive that we have been forward looking in setting out the prerequisites for the manufacturing of the future. At Audi Hungaria, we use geothermal and solar power, which means we are able to cover a large proportion of our energy needs from our own sources. We are also able to highlight further achievements in this area, such as the logistics chain that allows us to transport, via green trains, the electric drives we produce in Győr to Brussels in a climateneutral fashion.

Important decisions have also recently been made on the role of Audi Hungaria within the Volkswagen Group, as a result of which the firm will construct a new manufacturing facility for the MEBeco (Modular E-drive Concept) drives to be usedin small cars. Furthermore, we are consolidating our successful service activities through the establishment of a subsidiary that is wholly owned by Audi Hungaria, and we will also further expand the synergies of our world-class production network by manufacturing vehicles for the CUPRA Terramar brand.

The year 2022 was both eventful and emotional. Our activities as an automotive manufacturer – as we have come to expect in recent years – were greatly affected by the events unfolding in the world, with the pandemic, semiconductor shortages and the war all having a major impact. Nevertheless, the Audi Hungaria team showed that it is capable of outstanding performance even in the most trying of circumstances. Their flexibility, readiness to act and unwavering commitmentcontributed greatly to ensuring 2022 would be a successful year for AUDI AG.

The company is celebrating a very special anniversary in 2023, when Audi Hungaria turns 30 years old. As a former Győr resident myself, this landmark fills me with great joy, and the company can reflect on its achievements with pride. We have every reason to look forward to the challenges ahead with confidence.

Ingolstadt, March 2023.
